The VITRA 2 ophthalmic laser photocoagulator is intended for use in retinal photocoagulation with the following functions:
With slit lamp delivery system adapter:
treatment of the anterior and posterior segments, including:
• retinal photocoagulation;
• panretinal photocoagulation of retinal vessels, structural abnormalities and choroids in the following cases:
○ proliferative and non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy;
○ choroidal neovascularization;
○ branch retinal vein occlusion;
○ age-related macular degeneration;
○ retinal tears and detachments;
○ macular edema.
• iridotomy and trabeculoplasty in angle-closure glaucoma and open-angle glaucoma.
With indirect ophthalmoscope or microscope:
peripheral photocoagulation:
• proliferative diabetic retinopathy;
• retinal detachment.
With laser probe:
intraocular retinal photocoagulation:
• adjunct to vitrectomy (understanding that this is not the only indication for vitrectomy);
• management of traction and rhegmatogenous retinal detachment;
• proliferative vitreoretinopathy;
• proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
