Silicone oil Oxane® 5700 VRL 600

Application: Sterile, odorless silicone oil is used for long-term intraocular tamponade, in cases of severe, unfavorable retinal detachments complicated by proliferative vitreoretinopathy, in hemostasis and eye trauma, as well as in all other types of retinal detachments that cannot be corrected by other methods. The high surface tension of the oil forms a layer inside the eye that is immiscible with other intraocular media. Oxane® provides good coverage even in cases of retinal irregularity or in the presence of wound edge divergence.
